The accuracy for Models 8455 and 8465 is ±2.0 percent of reading ±0.5 percent of full-scale. The Model 8475 is ±3 percent of reading ±1 percent of full-scale. The accuracy is the sum of the two components of the specifications.
Example: If you have a Model 8455 with a full-scale range of 4,000 ft/min and an output of 0-5 volts and it reads 4.0 V (or 3,200 ft/min) the accuracy is calculated as follows: ±0.5% of reading ±0.5% of full scale = ±0.02(3,200 ft/min) ±0.005(4,000 ft/min) = ±64 ft/min ±20 ft/min, The total accuracy is the then equal to ±84 ft/min or 2.6% at 3,200 ft/min.
