PARTICLE COUNTER, PARTICLE DETECTOR

For 50 years, TSI has been the industry leader for particle-counting instruments. We manufacture and distribute a broad range of research grade, controlled environment and occupational / indoor air quality particle counter equipment.

As the leader in particle counting and particle concentration measurements, TSI offers a breadth of products for various research and aerosol applications, including: Condensation Particle Counters (CPCs), Water-based Condensation Particle Counters (WCPCs) and Airborne Particle Counters (APCs).

TSI offers three families of particle counting devices, described briefly below. Find detailed information for each instrument in this section of the site, or contact TSI for information about individual products.

Research Grade Particle Counters

Common research applications for research grade particle counters include the following:

  • Basic Aerosol Research
  • Atmospheric and Climate Research
  • Particle Formation and Growth Studies
  • Environmental Monitoring Studies
  • Nanotechnology Research
  • Mobile Aerosol Studies
  • Combustion and Engine Research
  • Inhalation Toxicology Research
  • Health Effects Studies

Private sector and academic researchers rely on research grade instruments, such as CPCs and WCPCs, for a multitude of industrial and occupational tasks. Our research grade equipment has earned a strong reputation worldwide for its high level of data quality.

Controlled Environment Particle Counters

For life science and electronic clean room applications, the AEROTRAK airborne particle counters are best in class. . AEROTRAK instruments meet strict industry standards and are calibrated to match widely recognized standards for particle measurements. TSI offers portable and handheld particle counters for classifying clean rooms.  Permanently installed remote particle counters continuously measure contamination levels in clean areas. TSI’s FMS software, coupled with environmental sensors, provides 21 CFR part 11 compliant monitoring systems to record criticaldata.

Occupational Hygiene and Indoor Air Quality Particle Counters

Particle counters are regularly used to monitor occupational environments. Airborne particle counters help observers in office settings determine indoor air quality for personal health and building hygiene purposes.

Particle counters typically are used by the following professionals:

  • Industrial/Occupational Hygienists
  • Health and Safety and IAQ Consultants
  • Epidemiologists
  • Facilities and Maintenance Personnel

Particle counters are used for an array of indoor air quality and industrial hygiene related tasks, such as locating sources of particle emissions and aerosol transport pathways. Particle counters also are used for assessing filter efficiency in HVAC systems and measuring particle size distributions and raw particle counts.

Contact TSI to learn more about our airborne particle counters, optical particle counters and laser particle counters. For a half-century, we have served countless research and industrial institutions internationally, and our team of experts is equipped to answer any questions you might have.
