TSI/Alnor Announces Next Generation of Alnor Analog Balometer® Capture Hoods

May 29, 2009 - From the Worldwide leader in capture hoods used to measure air flow from diffusers and grilles in HVAC systems, TSI is excited to announce the next generation of Alnor ABT Balometer® Capture Hoods.

The Alnor ABT Balometer® Capture Hood tradition continues with the introduction of the new Analog Balancing Tool (ABT) which utilizes a low current analog meter with a large, easy to read scale. Fast meter response combined with smooth needle movement allows for quick and accurate flow measurements.

The Alnor ABT Balometer® Capture Hood is a productivity instrument designed to quickly measure the air flow directly from supply diffusers and return/exhaust grilles. The ABT consists of a fabric hood, hood frame, support rods, and a molded plastic base which contains the analog meter and a flow sensing manifold.

In use, air to be measured is directed past a manifold mounted in the base which senses flow at multiple points spread across a carefully sized area. The manifold is designed to measure air volume on either supply or return outlets mounted in a ceiling, wall or floor with equal accuracy.
